IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION
Tibet is a high-altitude destination. Guests should consider their personal health and physical condition before traveling and bring all necessary personal or prescription medications.
Guests aged 70–74 may be required to complete a health declaration. Guests aged 75 and above may require medical clearance and additional arrangements. Guests aged 80 and above cannot be accepted. For safety reasons, guests who are five months pregnant or more cannot participate.
Flight and train schedules, as well as the order of sightseeing, may be adjusted due to weather, road conditions, attraction reservations, local regulations, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will always make reasonable efforts to maintain the overall quality and experience of the tour.
Guests are responsible for ensuring that their passport, visa, and other required travel documents are valid for the journey.
Passport must be valid for at least 6 months and have at least one blank visa page.
🚆 QINGHAI–TIBET RAILWAY — A JOURNEY ACROSS THE ROOF OF THE WORLD
Experience one of the highlights of our journey — an approximately 21–22 hour overnight train ride from Lhasa to Xining across the spectacular Tibetan Plateau.
We will arrange Soft Sleeper tickets whenever available. Each compartment accommodates 4 guests with 2 upper and 2 lower berths. Berth preferences may be requested but cannot be guaranteed, as final assignments are subject to railway availability. When possible, we kindly give priority to senior guests for lower berths.
Onboard facilities are simple, with shared restrooms and washbasins and no shower facilities. Think of it as part of the adventure — similar to settling in for a long-haul flight, but with the extraordinary landscapes of the Tibetan Plateau unfolding outside your window.
✨ PREFER TO SKIP THE OVERNIGHT TRAIN?
We also offer a Tibet itinerary without the Qinghai–Tibet Railway, ideal for travelers who prefer a more comfortable journey without the 21–22 hour overnight train experience.
Ask us about our Tibet Tour Without the Overnight Railway Journey.
I particularly recommend that last section. It turns what could be an objection — “I don't want to sleep on a train for 22 hours” — into an opportunity to sell your second Tibet product.
One small marketing suggestion: on the flyer, I would put the “Prefer to Skip the Overnight Train?” box in a different light background with a small airplane or hotel icon. That way it reads as an alternative upgrade/choice, not as a warning about the main tour.
